I’ve created this artwork as a different perspective of the American flag. Reflecting on the red and blue, the shades shown are much deeper, almost black and bruised, as we’ve been fighting a long time—for and against each other. The white lines illustrate how we interact and converse with each other, each line always leading to another. We are so much bigger than the stars, we need each other and cannot succeed without each other.
