I created this work as part of the “All That Glitters Isn’t Gold Series” as proof of concept. This ongoing series touches on voters registration, violence, and beauty of the Freedom Summer.
This 22x18 original collage created on white, handmade paper with liquid inks and gold leaf. It is mounted on a 24x30 handmade, deckled-edge paper and then float-mounted in the frame. The process simulates watercolor paint but is lightfast, waterproof and permanent.
Protected with several coats of UV varnish
